Overview

 

The VDOT Locally Administered Program Day is an all-day event providing information on the policies and processes involved with the planning, funding, project management, design and construction of transportation projects.  The event also examines the intergovernmental partnerships with Virginia Localities, Regional Planning Agencies and the Virginia Department of Transportation. 

 

Topics to be covered include:

 

Project Identification and Planning, Funding Types, Funding Applications, Project Cost Estimates, Local Project Administration and Management, Project Coordination, Project Agreements, Consultant Procurement, Civil Rights, Plan Submittals/Reviews, Finding of Public Interest, Advertisement & Award Authorization, Environmental Considerations, Stormwater Management Issues, Utility Coordination, Construction Activities and Monitoring and Federal/State compliance.
