In this session, we will discuss will discuss utility scale solar development in Virginia from the perspective of a commercial developer. Including siting considerations, the equipment used, and design constraints. Potential growth of solar facilities presents opportunities for communities as well as challenges for planning staff and local officials. We will discuss community input processes, infrastructure components including battery storage, how the facilities are constructed, the environmental impacts, security, andlandscaping.
