Get Involved
The Virginia Chapter of the American Planning Association has tremendous energy and desire to stay active throughout the year in all areas of the Commonwealth. We need your help! With more than 1,700 members, the demands for our educational and networking events often outpace the time your Board of Directors can spend to plan them. By volunteering for APA Virginia Chapter, whether as part of the Conference Planning Committee or as part of the Communications team, you can bring your experience and expertise to improve planning throughout the Commonwealth while growing your skillset and network. Volunteering for APA Virginia Chapter is a win-win! Here are some of the volunteer opportunities that we have available today:
- Conference Committee
- Symposium Committee
- Awards Committee
- Legislative Committee
- Section Directors
- Social Media Manager
- Newsbrief Reporters
- FAICP Committee
- Planning Directors Committee
- Inclusion Committee
