The benefits of becoming an APA Virginia Chapter-only member are:

Did we mention the cost savings? With a staggered cost structure tied to your planning income, you will save between $201 - $467 on your annual membership dues versus a full APA membership. Annual dues start at only $71 for those in the lowest tier and increase up to $163 in the highest.
Please Note: Chapter-Only membership runs for a full 12 months, aligned with the calendar year (January–December). Dues aren't prorated, so you pay the same annual rate no matter when in the year you join.
Planning Commissioners, retired planners, and those between jobs qualify for our lowest membership rate, based on their salary in a planning capacity. Students are already covered: APA National includes Chapter membership as part of your free student membership, so no separate sign-up is needed.
The dues category you select reflects your current annual salary related to planning. If you are a planning commissioner who does not also work as a planner, this would simply be your stipend, if applicable, you receive for serving as a commissioner.
